Our LocationsWhile sedated, Dr. Uchal puts an endoscope through your mouth and into your stomach. The endoscope has a suturing device attached. The suturing device is used to create a small accordion-like fold in the stomach to reduce its length. When these folds are stitched into your stomach tissue, there's less room in your stomach to hold food. With a smaller stomach, you feel full faster and tend to eat less as a result.
Revision of Sleeve
Sleeve-in-Sleeve (SIS) is an endoscopic plication treatment for sleeve gastrectomy patients who are struggling with weight regain. When weight regain occurs, it can be due to the sleeve stretching. SIS is an endoscopic procedure that helps restore the sleeve's tightness to its original size following surgery. SIS works by using sutures to create plications (folds) that decrease the sleeve's volume.
Gastric Bypass Revision
TORe (Transoral Outlet Reduction) procedure is a minimally invasive, incisionless and same-day outpatient endoscopic weight loss procedure performed to reduce the size of the outlet and in some cases the stomach pouch as well.
While sedated, Dr. Uchal inserts an endoscope, a small camera attached to a thin and flexible tube, through your mouth and into your stomach. A suturing device is connected to the tube, enabling stitches to be placed around the outlet, and in some cases, the stomach pouch itself. When these sutures are placed and pulled, the size of the outlet and gastric pouch will be reduced. This procedure will allow you to restore the feeling of fullness and ultimately lose weight again.
More on TORe
TORe is an endoscopic procedure to revise a previous Roux- en-Y gastric bypass. It leaves no scars and helps you get back on track by fixing anatomic changes that may have caused weight gain.
TIF - Transoral Incisionless Fundoplication
TIF procedure is a minimally invasive endoscopic treatment for chronic acid reflux (GERD) and small hiatal hernias. It involves using an endoscope to reconstruct the gastroesophageal valve without any surgical incisions, providing a less painful recovery compared to traditional surgery.
